Beehive, United Way and its strong corporate partnerships

blog, featured | 29 Sep 2022 |

The relationship between Beehive Industries and United Way has been growing from strength to strength this 2022.

With Beehive re-opening its doors to corporate partner events, we have welcomed volunteers from all sides of the commercial spectrum.  Volunteers from Commonwealth Bank Australia, KPMG and Macquarie Telecom to name a few, have all visited Beehive to volunteer with us.

This month alone, our corporate partners have helped to pack up to 25,000 books for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library!  This program, managed by United Way in Australia, provides children with monthly educational and reading materials.  The program is an essential support that helps kickstart positive early literacy outcomes for children in disadvantaged backgrounds before they even start school.

Just last week, we had volunteers from United Way and CBA help to pack books.  Not only were they able to help us with our work for the Imagination Library, but they also got to meet our regular Beehivers and learn about the supports we provide them here at Beehive Industries.  In addition, they made for excellent Bingo announcers during morning tea!

We are grateful for the extensive corporate partnerships we have fostered over the years and look forward to working with more volunteers in the future.
