As the financial year comes to a close, Beehive Industries reflects on the many changes we have seen in the past six months.
Since January, we have welcomed many new and returning service users. This has also led to an uptick in the meals we are providing within and without our premises.
We have also begun working with twice as many customers as we did last year! Our Beehivers have worked on many new procurement jobs, giving them a wider variety of activities to participate in. These include assembling boxes (Ive), preparing arthritis care boxes (Arthritis NSW), packing surf magazines (Tracks Magazine) and even labelling doggie treats (Nutty Dog)!
Beehive has also re-launched its corporate volunteering program. We have been taking in new groups of volunteers since April. We are very grateful and pleased to see so many companies willing to give their time and donations and spend a day getting to know our Beehivers. A special thank you goes to Telus Health, KPMG, Westpac and Braze.
We are grateful to continue to foster and grow our collaborative relationships with other wonderful charities such as the Wayside Chapel, OzHarvest and Legacy.
Finally, we are so proud of Beehiver Florida, who was featured in the ABC Compass report: The Loneliness Epidemic . Florida has showcased the work that we do and the positive effect that Beehive has on our community with eloquence and grace!
As we head into the second half of the year, we will continue to work hard to help our Beehivers as well as provide quality procurement work that helps to combat social isolation.
